In recent years, China's printing and dyeing clean production technology has made great progress, but it faces a severe situation of energy shortage, increasing shortage of water resources and deteriorating environmental pollution. At the same time, in the current traditional textile dyeing process, the dye utilization rate is low (combined utilization rate is only 50%-60%), a large amount of inorganic salt is needed for dyeing, dyeing and washing process is long, energy consumption and water consumption are high, and urgent Need to research and develop efficient short-flow low-salt dyeing and printing technology. In addition, China's textiles with ethnic characteristics and its printing and dyeing processing technology are backward, the production process is long, and the water consumption and energy consumption are high, which restricts the development and utilization of high value-added textiles with Chinese characteristics.

In response to the above problems in China's textile printing and dyeing processing, during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the Ministry of Science and Technology initiated the implementation of the “Typical textile short-flow low-consumption printing and dyeing technology development” science and technology support plan project, through the low liquid supply short process printing and dyeing, cashmere products cleaning and dyeing The research on rectification of key technologies and the development of Tibetan natural carpet plant dyes have broken through key technologies such as foam dyeing, reactive dye wet steaming, disperse dye-free steaming printing, cashmere cleaning and dyeing, and digital printing . Large-scale application; conquered the processing technology of using solar energy to obtain the colored materials of Tibet's unique mineral plants, and obtained 8 kinds of mineral plant dyes, completed the pilot production, and developed a series of Tibetan carpet products with ethnic characteristics.
